Mechanical Shut-off Valve
Automatically engaged mechanical shut-off valve for use in preventing engine overspeed/run-away. Engine air intake is suppressed after exceeding a set threshold as determined by the tuning of the valve springs, whereby combustion is halted and the engine is stopped. Following, the springs are able to return the valve into its open position once engine operations have completely stopped.
The purely mechanical operational nature of the shut-off valve makes it appropriate for use in Zone II environments.
